Contemporary & Lyrical
This class blends the expressive fluidity of lyrical with the grounded, dynamic movement of contemporary. Dancers will explore classical ballet-based technique through lyrical movement while also learning contemporary styles such as contract and release, body articulation, floor work, jumps, turns, and rhythm changes. Movement is used as a tool for storytelling, emotional expression, and artistic development. The class focuses on building overall technique, strength, flexibility, coordination, musicality, and artistry while encouraging dancers to move with confidence, bravery, and full-body expression. Dancers will also develop their ability to connect emotion to movement and create meaningful performance quality. Dancers are encouraged to bring a notebook and pen to take notes on corrections, concepts, and choreography learned in class.
Ballet
Our ballet classes are designed for dancers who are ready to deepen their understanding of ballet through a full immersion learning experience. Whether you are newer to ballet and eager to fully immerse yourself in the art form or have previous experience and want to strengthen your foundation, our classes provide a supportive and challenging environment for growth. Classes focus on ballet technique, terminology, musicality, fluidity, artistry, flexibility, and strength. Through the three core sections of ballet class: barre, center, and across the floor, dancers will develop proper alignment, posture, balance, coordination, turnout, flexibility, and overall body awareness. Students will also learn the discipline and vocabulary of ballet while building confidence and artistic expression. Optional ankle and wrist weights may be used during conditioning portions of class to help improve strength and stability. Dancers are encouraged to bring a notebook and pen to record terminology, corrections, and concepts learned in class to support their progress both in and out of the studio.
Pre-Pointe
This class is designed to prepare dancers for pointe work or to safely strengthen and condition the ankles and feet for future pointe training. Dancers will focus on building the strength, alignment, and control needed for safe progression into pointe shoes. Training includes targeted foot and ankle strengthening exercises, core stability work, theraband conditioning, balance training, and basic ballet technique at the barre and center. Emphasis is placed on proper alignment, turnout control, and injury prevention to ensure readiness for pointe work. Dancers may be placed in pre pointe or pointe based on teacher approval and individual readiness. This class supports long term strength, stability, and technical development in a focused and disciplined environment.
Dance for Musical Theater
Musical theater dance class focuses on building strong foundational jazz technique while introducing dancers to Broadway style choreography. Dancers will explore basic-advanced jazz movement, musicality, rhythm, coordination, and performance quality through fun and engaging combinations inspired by stage productions. Each class includes a warm up, across the floor progressions, and center combinations that develop strength, flexibility, and confidence. Emphasis is placed on storytelling, facial expression, and character work to bring choreography to life as it would be performed on stage. This class is designed to help dancers grow their technique while building stage presence, confidence, and the ability to pick up choreography in a theatrical setting. Dancers are encouraged to bring a notebook and pen to take notes on choreography, corrections, and concepts learned in class.
Improv & Acting
This class is ideal for artists interested in exploring acting and improvisation in a fun, supportive, and creative environment. Students will learn the fundamentals of performance through engaging exercises and activities focused on acting techniques, physical storytelling, vocal projection, enunciation, facial and body expression, character development, and improvisation games. Through scene work, theater activities, and collaborative exercises, students will build confidence, creativity, communication skills, and stage presence while learning how to think quickly and perform authentically. This class encourages self-expression, teamwork, and imagination, making it a great choice for both beginners and experienced performers looking to expand their theatrical skills.
Tap
This beginner/intermediate tap class is designed to help dancers build a strong foundation in tap technique while continuing to develop their skills and confidence. Dancers will explore rhythm training, musicality, tap terminology, body awareness, coordination, balance, and agility through a variety of exercises, drills, and combinations. Emphasis is placed on understanding proper technique, creating clear sounds, and developing timing and performance quality. Students will learn how tap dance connects movement and music while gaining a deeper appreciation for rhythm and expression. Dancers are encouraged to bring a notebook and pen to take notes on terminology, rhythms, and concepts covered throughout the class to support their growth and learning.
Tap and Musical Theater Combo
This combo class blends the fundamentals of tap dance with the performance style of musical theater jazz. Dancers will develop rhythm, timing, coordination, and musicality through tap technique while also learning Broadway inspired choreography that focuses on storytelling and stage presence. Class includes a structured warm up, tap exercises to build clarity and sound, across the floor progressions, and center combinations in both tap and musical theater styles. Dancers will work on precision, style, expression, and the ability to quickly switch between movement quality and character work. This class helps dancers build versatility, confidence, and strong performance skills for the stage. Dancers are encouraged to bring a notebook and pen to take notes on choreography, corrections, and concepts learned in class.
Hip Hop
Our hip hop classes blend the energy and foundations of hip hop with the style and technique of street jazz. Dancers will learn rhythm based movement, grooves, isolations, footwork, and dynamic choreography influenced by commercial and urban dance styles. Classes include a structured warm up, across the floor progressions, and center combinations that build strength, coordination, musicality, and confidence. Dancers will also develop performance quality, stage presence, and the ability to pick up choreography quickly while bringing personality and style to their movement. This class encourages individuality, freestyle expression, and strong execution of choreography in a fun and high energy environment. Dancers are encouraged to bring a notebook and pen to take notes on choreography, corrections, and concepts learned in class.
Baby Ballet
This class introduces young dancers to the fundamentals of ballet in a fun, gentle, and age appropriate environment. Dancers will learn basic ballet positions, simple terminology, creative movement, rhythm, and coordination through imaginative exercises, music, and games. Class activities focus on developing body awareness, balance, flexibility, listening skills, and classroom structure while encouraging confidence and expression. Young dancers will also begin learning basic classroom etiquette such as following directions, sharing space, and working together. This class is designed to nurture a love of dance while building a strong foundation for future ballet training in a supportive and playful setting.
Baby and Me Music and Movement
Our Baby and Me class is a fun and interactive movement experience designed for young children and their caregiver. Each class includes follow along activities, creative movement, and playful music based exercises that encourage bonding, imagination, and early motor skill development. Dancers will explore obstacle courses, balance and coordination activities, stretching, beginner acro inspired movement, and themed songs such as “hop little bunnies” and dinosaur themed movement games. Activities are designed to help children practice listening skills, following instructions, and building body awareness in a safe and supportive environment. This class supports gross motor development, coordination, rhythm, and confidence while encouraging social interaction and joyful movement through music and play.
Acro
This class will focus on learning tricks and gaining flexibility. Acro classes will focus on stretching, tricks such as somersault, backward roll, handstands, splits, cartwheels, back walk over, front walk over, front handsprings, hurdle cartwheels, Side/Front aerial, and more. These classes will encourage dancers to gain strength and flexibility while also learning about the ways to stay safe while practicing these tricks. Dancers are encouraged to bring a notebook and pen to take notes of what they learned.
Cheer Skills
This class is designed for students who want to learn the fundamentals of cheerleading in a fun, supportive, non-competitive environment. Dancers will build strength, flexibility, teamwork, and confidence while learning group lifts, basic stunts, transitions, and cheer combinations. Classes focus on proper technique, safety, and performance skills, making it a great way to experience cheer without the commitment of competition.
American Rhythm & Night Club
This class focuses on the fundamentals and technique of American Rhythm and nightclub social dance styles, blending both Latin and social partner dance foundations. Dancers will explore American Rhythm styles including cha cha, rumba, swing, bolero, and mambo, along with nightclub and social dances such as salsa, bachata, merengue, hustle, samba, and nightclub two step. Each class includes a structured warm up, technique training, footwork drills, timing and rhythm work, and choreographed combinations. Dancers will also be introduced to partner work concepts when applicable, focusing on connection, frame, and lead and follow awareness. Emphasis is placed on musicality, styling, coordination, body action, and performance quality while building confidence and versatility across multiple social and Latin dance styles. This class is fun, energetic, and designed to develop strong foundational skills for both social dancing and performance.
Pump and Praise!
This class will focus on building strength, balance, and flexibility through a variety of workouts, floor and standing exercises, weight training, and stretching. This class is ideal for people who want a fun, encouraging, and challenging work out, or dancers who are looking to advance their dance training. Optionally, attendees are encouraged to bring ankle and wrist weights, elastic bands, water bottle, sweat towel, and exercise mats. Pump and Praise, praise the Lord through upbeat / rock gospel music while getting strong!
ZUMBA!
This high energy Zumba class combines dance and fitness into an upbeat, fun, and motivating workout experience. Dancers will move through easy to follow choreography inspired by Latin, hip hop, pop, and international music styles. Each class focuses on improving cardiovascular endurance, coordination, rhythm, and overall fitness while keeping movement fun and engaging. Participants will build stamina, burn calories, and increase body awareness through continuous, dance based cardio combinations. No dance experience is required, and all levels are welcome. This class is designed to feel like a party while still delivering an effective full body workout.
Young Artists
This class will be engaging with a variety of different art styles such as painting, crafts, watercolor, using unique tools to achieve a certain texture, etc. Crafts may include clay, painting on wooden structures, making a provided object, and many more. Each week the child will be working on or continuing a new creation. The artists will get to use creative freedom, learn new techniques, and spark their minds for a passion of arts and crafts!
